Can't allow YouTube back.

Post by KM4 »

Using NoScript 2.9.5.2 on Waterfox 50.0.2. I accidentally marked youtube as untrusted. Now when I press the allow youtube button nothing happens. It did happen to me with previous versions and I could just simply allow it back again. I tried disabling NoScript, resetting it, removing it - nothing helped. Youtube videos are just black screens. And the Youtube search window shows a warning "Hello, you seem to have JavaScript turned off. Please enable it to see search results properly." The allow function does work on other sites though.

If you export your whitelist, or your full NoScript options, can you see YouTube on either the whitelist or blacklist?

Youtube is only in the whitelist.

Did experiment blocking other sites. Figures Youtube is not the only one with this problem. Some others also can be blocked and not allowed back. When I block them they do appear in the blacklist but I when press allow, the allow button doesn't go away and the site scripts are blocked. But the site is removed from the blasklist.

Found the solution myself. After pressing the allow button you need to close the tab, not just reload it or restart the browser with tabs opened from previous session. The site opened from a different tab works properly.
