For the first time today using Firefox I cannot make Facebook work except by allowing scripts globally.

The URL is https://www.facebook.com/
The toolbar appears at the top. My name appears there so login has worked.
The rest of the page shows a grey oblong on the right but nothing else.
Clicking on the down arrow on the toolbar shows account settings but not the options that include logoff.
Allowing scripts globally allows Facebook to function normally.
