What adblock addon are you using along with NoScript?
What adblock addon are you using along with NoScript?
I was using only Adblock Plus for a long time to block ads and recently i installed Noscript and decided to try some other adblocking addons along with Noscript, because Adblock Plus loads Firefox too much. I installed uMatrix and so far so good. What adblocking addon are you using along with Noscript?

uBlock Origin + uMatrix.

If you're already using µMatrix, you'll get only small benefits from other adblockers.

I use uMatrix without the hosts filterlists, but uBlock with filterlists.
So uBlock can block unwanted elements + scripts even if i allow the content + javascript.

(hope he's using recent enough µMatrix to avoid this https://github.com/gorhill/uMatrix/issues/554)

μMatrix can mostly replace NoScript, but it's probably worth keeping NS at least in Global Allow mode.

No, what's stupid about picking up NoScript because of µMatrix (whatever that means exactly)?Thrawn wrote:Um...was that sarcastic?

"not longer use NoScript" - I think this should have been "no longer uses NoScript".

Re: What adblock addon are you using along with NoScript?
Yes youre right
@barbaz: The cookie leak is fixed in latest uMatrix + uBlock (even if it maybe not have this leak).
And if no NoScript is installed then there is no leak. Or i'm wrong?
So i agree what Thrawn say. It replace NoScript, but only the JavaScript allow/ forbid features.
Anyway the only feature from NoScript to kept it beside uMatrix is ABE.
Clearclick: i never see more then 10 times that protection in the years i use now NoScript
HTTPS Cookie Management: Isn't this browser defaults? Or can the Self Destruction Cookie addon this too?
XSS: I use Pale Moon which have a internal XSS filter
ABE: nice to have, but i'm sure only a handful people use it

Sorry, I thought that "not longer" was meant to be "not long".
IMO the guy replaced a blowtorch with a campfire. Two totally different things which have only a small overlap in functionality.

Yes, using the latest µMatrix that isn't an issue.yes_noscript wrote:@barbaz: The cookie leak is fixed in latest uMatrix + uBlock (even if it maybe not have this leak).
False.yes_noscript wrote:Anyway the only feature from NoScript to kept it beside uMatrix is ABE.
Same here. I'm not open to the idea of being compromised 10 times.yes_noscript wrote:Clearclick: i never see more then 10 times that protection in the years i use now NoScript
Don't know about self desctructing cookies but it's certainly not a browser default. Well maybe Pale Moon does something like this but I haven't regularly used it in too long to be sure. Other browsers certainly don't.yes_noscript wrote:HTTPS Cookie Management: Isn't this browser defaults? Or can the Self Destruction Cookie addon this too?
Defense-in-depth is always good, especially when encountering a false positive or a crappy design site that absolutely must be made to workyes_noscript wrote:XSS: I use Pale Moon which have a internal XSS filter

Re: What adblock addon are you using along with NoScript?
Why?barbaz wrote:False.yes_noscript wrote:Anyway the only feature from NoScript to kept it beside uMatrix is ABE.
Compromising is a argument okay.barbaz wrote:Same here. I'm not open to the idea of being compromised 10 times.yes_noscript wrote:Clearclick: i never see more then 10 times that protection in the years i use now NoScript
Does a site exist to test the management?barbaz wrote:Don't know about self desctructing cookies but it's certainly not a browser default. The intern XSS filter can be disabled, like the NoScript one.barbaz wrote:Defense-in-depth is always good, especially when encountering a false positive or a crappy design site that absolutely must be made to workyes_noscript wrote:XSS: I use Pale Moon which have a internal XSS filter
Okay, but ABE doesn't have any rules by default so it don't make anything, or?barbaz wrote:The handful of people who use NoScript and left the default setting of ABE enabledyes_noscript wrote:ABE: nice to have, but i'm sure only a handful people use it
