crash noscript / FF 47.0 for some sites
Hello,
FF with NS immediately crashes for some sites, e.g. Facebook.com and Jalopnik.com.
After starting in FF save mode, websites run well.
After disabling all add-ons, FF runs well.
After enabling noscript, FF crashes for listed websites.
Tried to deactivate and reinstall NS, same results.
Any ideas ?

Does Allowing Scripts Globally (with nothing in Untrusted) help?
If not, when this issue occurs, do you see anything related in the Browser Console? (Ctrl-Shift-J)
(if you don't know what's related, turn off CSS warnings and post everything else you see)

no, same result, maybe some milliseconds later (you can see FF starting to render, then crashing)

Unfortunately, the browser console is closed automatically when FF crashes. It is possible to save log to a file?Guest wrote:barbaz wrote:

URL to one of these crash reports?
(about:crashes, if it doesn't start with "bp-" first click the link to submit it)

Not as far as I'm aware. I would probably just video capture it and extract the last frame it's visible before the crash.Guest wrote:Unfortunately, the browser console is closed automatically when FF crashes. It is possible to save log to a file?

As a test, create a new, clean Profile
Install only NoScript
Test with your sites.
Does it crash?
Copy your prefs.js from your old Profile to the new
Test with your sites.

Re: crash noscript / FF 47.0 for some sites
Can you please repeat the clean profile test but instead of importing your entire prefs.js, import only your NoScript settings?
In your main profile: NoScript Options > Export (the one *on the very bottom*, *not* the one unique to the Whitelist panel)
in the new profile: NoScript Options > Import (again, the Import button on the very bottom)

Re: crash noscript / FF 47.0 for some sites
just made something different:
- saved noscript settings (export...)
- reset noscript settings
- restart ff
NO MORE CRASH!
now trying to find diffs between configs. Windows fc.exe gives up (too many diffs).
And maybe continue with NS default setting, as i do not remember what website was not working and forced me to play with the settings.
Thank you all for your support!

Thanks for testing that. Can you please send me the "bad" config?
Also, what NoScript version are you using?
