Unable to remove noscript

Post by GrmpyGuy »

I recently downloaded and installed noscript but have found it impossible to remove from my Win 10 Pro PC.
I have searched through the registry, looked at all the ini files and for some reason cannot find a way
to remove it. I have even removed/uninstalled reinstalled Firefox and Google in order to try and clear
it's grip on this PC. Any help or "polite" suggestions would be greatfully received.

NoScript is supposed to be removable through Tools > Add-ons Manager > NoScript > Remove > Yes, remove ALL protections, then restart Firefox. If this does not work for you, which it sounds like it didn't, how did you install NoScript and from where did you install it?

Barbaz,
Thanks for the reply. I installed from this site. However at the same time Microsoft forced (yes, they do it!) an update to windows 10.
After that ALL attempts at even trying to find it have failed. Do you think they could have made it invisible with attributes in Windows?
Any suggestions gladly received.

The Windows 10 upgrade likely bollixed your Firefox profile. Create a new profile, if NoScript is not present there then see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_ ... _-_Firefox to get your desired data back.
