Hello,
I'm new here and also looking to find out how to switch the download directory/path. When I downloaded FlashGot I inadvertently saved the download destination to "My Documents" and would really like to change that.
Changing the Download Directory/path

Re: Changing the Download Directory/path
Not sure, but is that going to be a FF setting that determines that?

Re: Changing the Download Directory/path
No, that cannot be - as I've already tried this, it was my first move.therube wrote:Not sure, but is that going to be a FF setting that determines that?

Re: Changing the Download Directory/path
And you're using (Browser Built In) for your download manager?
When I change to that, the first thing that happens with a download attempt, is I'm prompted for "Destination Directory" (which also has a Browse button to change it).
(In SeaMonkey) if I set Edit | Preferences | Browser -> Downloads to "Save files to: Downloads", FlashGot automatically saves files to my Downloads directory - without prompting for a directory to save to. When I change that (in SeaMonkey) back to "Always ask me where to save files", at that point, FlashGot then prompts me, first, for the download location.

Re: Changing the Download Directory/path
You would be right. By changing the directory on Firefox - it change it for FlashGot, I swear this did NOT work the first time, though. Thankstherube wrote:And you're using (Browser Built In) for your download manager?

It may also be, affected by, I think that by default, FF remembers the last used download directory - per domain, though I'm not sure offhand whether that comes into play here or not? (Suppose it would.)
