Thanks for trying...
I did as you described and as a result I got again: You are not in the UK. I checked and re-checked and it turns out that the IP is changing with every new attempt at a website. But none of the IPs is actually in the UK I just checked my present one, it is 138.100.12.148 and according to coolwhois, I am now living in Spain...
Also it will not forward this message, I have to go back and send it from there i na minute....
Here I am again in Japan.... and it works

Now to the second part
"The rest of your post is a bit off topic but the fact is that if you feel you can use JS safely and don't need the protection, feel free to disable it. Otherwise, it has limitations running NoScript and that is the welcome intention of the addon. Not all JS is essential and much of what can be done using JS is unnecessary for actual function, but if you need it then whitelist the site and if you don't then you are fine. Either way, if you feel you don't need the protection and your malware-av twice a week which is an after the fact problem solver not a preventer is sufficient, then enable JS globally and have fun, but in between those scans which can miss problems if you get infected and are hijacked and lose personal information, a statement like "I was wrong" would be appreciated."
I have not had a serious problem in all my 22 years at the computer, malware and before that avast have warned me, and then removed the two viruses and Trojans I did get. I installed no-script to prevent certain pop ups, which instead of closing after an "x" click, opened up a new window for their ad.... it worked very well against this, and I was happy about that. But it also disabled javascript, which I need for several other websites.
And as I now find out IT HAS DISBALED IT PERMANENTLY. I seem not to find any way to switch it back on!
It now seems to me that NOW and not after some virus, I will have to completely re-format my HDD and put my XP-pro back on from scratch....not a very nice job to look forward to, as it seems no computer specialist in ANY forum can tell me how to re-activate javascript..... or can you????

You are welcome and I am sorry that its not working for you. Not sure how your ISP is routing your signals but works for me here and I have helped many do it but I have struck out helping you, my apologies and I wish you luck figuring it out.John Grey wrote:Thanks for trying...

Re: No Java Script at Porxy
I know where you are coming from and I have been hacker since I was 14 and have worked on ciphers, encryption and data forensics for most of my career including massive amount of developing. I have never been owned or been affected by anything in my life either but that doesn't mean it can't happen. The fact is that if we don't take precautions, it only takes one rouge event to bring a sobering and very rude awakening.John Grey wrote:Now to the second part

We pay for insurance, is that because we expect to crash every time we take out the car? no, I have been paying since I was 18 and I have never had a crash, but its for when and if you ever do. We lock our doors and set the alarm on the car, do we expect to be robbed each time? do we get robbed? no, for most it never happens but you wouldn't go leaving the door open and unlocked would you? Taking precaution is exactly that, taking precaution and most of us doing the basic proper things will NEVER EVER see a problem in our lifetime, that doesn't mean the threats are not real and the possibility is not real. That being said, to each their own and here ends my soapbox. Cheers.
