Embeds repeatedly opening in new page

Within the last day or so, NoScript has stopped prompting me if I want to unblock a blocked embedded object when I click on it, like it always used to. Instead, it immediately opens the object up in a completely new page, and continues to do so on clicking it, and the only way to unblock it is to rightclick on it and dig through the menus to bring up the unblock dialog. Is this supposed to happen now, or did I do something by accident that just made it that much more difficult to unblock things I wanted to unblock?
