[RESOLVED] ATTENTION: Latest version is broken on Palemoon
Like the title says, the latest version installed and then promptly crashed with an error message about not installing correctly. I didn't have a chance to see what the window said since it closed instantly. So I tried to open the context menu and the option for noscript was gone. Checked "show" settings, all unchecked.. hmmm, so I tried to check them and pressed OK. Nothing happened, I tried to alter some other settings, but it was clear that it wouldn't work no matter what I did. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, still no dice.
I fixed it by reverting to the older version on addons.mozilla.org, thankfully they keep those around! If anyone else has this mysterious problems, you won't have to waste time troubleshooting it at least. Something is definitely broken here.

Which latest version of NoScript (dev or stable)?
What NoScript version (including rc versions) is the latest to which you can roll back without experiencing this issue?

Re: ATTENTION: Latest version is broken on Palemoon
Ah, sorry, should have included that. Latest version and latest dev version on this page have the same issue: That is to say the 2.9.0.7 versions.
The one that worked for me was the version released prior to that (2.9.0.6), so that's why I suspect the latest version of having this bug.
I'm running it on Palemoon version: 26.1.1 (x64)

There is a 2.9.0.8rc1 on AMO but no release notes so no idea if it will help here...

Noscript broke for me as well. Was working fine a few hours ago, I suspect that it was the update. Got an error about needing to install it again. Using an old version of Firefox, since I don't like some of the newer "features".

Re: ATTENTION: Latest version is broken on Palemoon
Trouble is, once the auto-update breaks Noscript in Palemoon, there's also no possibility to install it again for testing. I constantly got the error "The add-on could not be downloaded due to a connection failure on noscript.net" when clicking the Install button on https://noscript.net
The direct download link for NoScript 2.9.0.7 on https://noscript.net/getit returns an error 404.
I've set all my systems to no longer auto-update Noscript, one of them is still at 2.9.0.6, the other I managed to put the 2.9.0.1RC version for Gecko on.

I experienced the same problem when the 2.9.0.7 update was automatically installed. I would add that the install also seems to have deleted my whitelist, and the Options control panel under this version is basically non-operative. The 'OK' button is non-responsive, so that in effect it is impossible to change any program options. The 'Cancel' button works, meaning that it is possible to open the control panel and close it again.

Re: ATTENTION: Latest version is broken on Palemoon
Mozilla.org is blocking me from downgrading. It says "For firefox only" I use sea monkey which is mozilla.org but without all the annoying "additions" to firefox (they use to make stupid features developer only not anymore apparently stopped using it 2 years ago as a consequence).
It broke on seamonkey and I've nary a way of fixing it since mozilla is hell bent on Firefox (only) instead of compatible browsers.
Perhaps a 2.9.0.6 downgrade link or something (see above why mozilla.org links can't work)?

I see that 2.9.0.9 is out and is Sea Monkey compatible. Same link as above, just go up to the top of the list.
