I see this in my Recently Blocked list, searching with Google finds nothing at all.

Using Firefox 44.0.2 and Noscript 2.9.0.4

I'm finding some search results for that.

First step is, scan your system for malware per General Troubleshooting Instructions #2. (I'm thinking it'll likely come out clean, but we need to rule that out.)

Thanks for responding. Installed a new download of Malwarebytes (did not have it before), the scan found nothing. This system also has Norton Internet Security running, but it's an old computer and the update subscription has been expired for several years.

You're not running any extension or plugin that might pirate stuff in a dodgy way are you?

I don't have any dodgy stuff, so far as I can tell. Firefox add-ons manager lists Beef Taco, Exif Viewer, Flashblock, NoScript, Video Downloadhelper

I'm going to try paying more attention to see if I can identify which site I visit when the proxy thing shows up on the block list, I suspect that detail might be very useful.

I have identified the site... it's my credit union, at this time I prefer not to give the name. Thank you for your time considering my inquiry. I'm going to send a message to their technical support and see what they come up with.
