what is happening here? (pic)
I am curious what is happening here, is the webpage I was about to sign into trying to gather certain information about me? I would like to know exactly what's happening because this is a webpage I would like to trust. (behind the block is just the name of the website, same thing all the way down)

Almost every site does, in one way or another...WahBeDis wrote:is the webpage I was about to sign into trying to gather certain information about me?
No way to know that without carefully examining every script it's loading, which would be a huge amount of work. You can make educated guesses, maybe, but it's not practical to base trust decisions on complete knowledge of the site unless you built it yourself.I would like to know exactly what's happening

Well I know every site does in one way or another, but I only see something like this pop up on a few of them, the address with /[my plugins, etc] ...So I didn't know if these sites were trying to gather different, more specific things, I guess I'm not sure how to best put it into words. It's just only a few sites pop up with a long list of links like that.Thrawn wrote:Almost every site does, in one way or another...WahBeDis wrote:is the webpage I was about to sign into trying to gather certain information about me?

The list of links happens when a page is completely blank without scripts, presumably because JavaScript was supposed to populate it.
NoScript tries to help by scraping the page to look for URLs, which might help you to find what you were looking for. Often, though, you have to either unblock it or leave.
