[Resolved] CSS Sprites not showing

NoScript is preventing CSS sprites from painting images.

Things I've tried:
1) I disabled all addons except NoScript; disabled global scripting - still fail
2) I disabled all addons except NoScript; disabled clickclick - still fail
3) I disabled all addons except NoScript; reset NoScript; enabled global scripting - still fail
4) new Firefox profile; fresh download of NoScript - still fail
5) new Firefox profile; fresh download of NoScript; enable scripting globally - SUCCESS

I will go forward and hopefully recover my tweaks and such using the new profile. Even given that, it seems like a bug or something that CSS (png) Sprites requires NoScript scripting be enabled to function.

Is there something I'm overlooking that could cause this?
- The problem has existed for a couple years, btw. I've just put up with it until now.

Firefox: 44.0.2
NoScript: 2.9.0.4

Just what do you see there?

What are your settings for; Options | Embeddings -> Forbid @font-face ?
Do you have, Apply these restrictions to whitelisted sites too, enabled?

What is your about:config setting for; browser.display.use_document_fonts ?
And if you reset that to its default?
