Youtube HTML5 and NS Setup Problem

Post by krokodilsky »

Hi,

I have some problems playing Youtube HTML5 videos (Observe! I do Not use Flash!), every video is blocked and need to be manually accepted in NS in order to get played.

In the NS menu I see under the "Blocked Objects" the video is blocked and can be temporarily allowed, one video example look like this:

Code: Select all

video/ogg@https://t3---je-tvdna6g-hvjn.googlevideo.com(https://www.youtube.com)
How can I allow every video get played without my interaction?
I would like to add somewhere in NS so it allows all that match this string below:

Code: Select all

video/ogg@https://*.googlevideo.com(https://www.youtube.com)
BTW, what is the above link example called, is it an iFrame? or XSS? something else?
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0

If you have "Apply these restrictions to whitelisted sites too" set,
about:config > noscript.allowedMimeRegExp

Otherwise, just Allow googlevideo.com in the main NS menu.

If you want that permission to be per-site, use ABE (USER ruleset):

Code: Select all

Site .googlevideo.com
Accept INC(MEDIA) from ^https://(?:www\.youtube\.|s\.ytimg\.)com/
Deny
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!
