Pausing/playing YouTube full screen invokes ClickJacking err

Post by rick707 »

I am watching a Youtube video embedded in the web page of the Guardian, a newspaper in the UK. When the video is playing in "Normal" mode (not maximized) I can click the Play/Pause button with no problem. However, when playing fullscreen, either clicking on the Play/Pause button or dragging the "time elapsed" button to move forward or backward, invokes a ClearClick warning: Potential Clickjacking / UI redressing attempt dialog. Any idea what's going on? Thanks for the help.

Please send a report the next time it happens & post here the report ID so that Giorgio can look into it.

In the mean time, I know you're not the first to report similar.. do these help at all?

EDIT
@rick707: Please check that link in the OP, it looks like it may have been mangled by the board?

Yes, these other reports describe very similar situations.

Many (not all?) of the videos embedded in theguardian.com exhibit this behavior. It only happens when the video is fullscreen. At normal size, the mouseclicks pass through fine to the video and the Clickjacking dialog does not get triggered. It just happened again on the Guardian website here. You may have to scroll down to the video entitled "New arrivals from Italy at Munich station." I just reported this to NoScript as report ID 265413.
