Allow Panel.HTML??

Post by Murphy6251 »

Hi Folks,
Been using NoScript for about six or seven years now and I'm very familiar with all the different domains that show up in the list when I go somewhere. I don't allow most, but I know which ones need to be temporarily allowed to get the dozen or so sites I visit over and over to work correctly.

As of today, I have a new one in my list and it seems to be almost everywhere including on this forum website. Its called "allow panel.html" What is this?? Why am I all of a sudden seeing this "panel.html" almost every web address I go to?
I've never allowed it and it doesn't seem to be affecting anything so far as I can tell but it has me concerned.

Thank you,

Sounds to me like malware.
Check step 2 of General Troubleshooting Instructions for some suggestions how to scan for it and get rid of it.

Or it could be another extension that is inserting ads. Similar to malware, but probably less dangerous and less likely to be picked up by a scan.

For me, the mysterious "panel.html" disappears when I disable firefox extension "Blur" (aka DoNotTrackMe). Guess the guilty component is Blur's mask email/credit card panel.

Sounds like it...and if their panel is appearing on NoScript's list, that's a bit disturbing, because it might mean that the panel is actually accessible to JavaScript on the page.

I was having the same thing, for EXACTLY the same amount of time! Just the last week or so! Blur is the culprit in my case as well! Why, suddenly last week, is this panel.html coming up?

Also panel.html appears with Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect software, a VPN software.
Since I installed the VPN, panel.html appears everywhere.
