Youtube Hassle

Post by man0tin »

I'm not unable to watch youtube videos. It's just annoying to be required to go to another video and then hit back to watch what you want.

I recently uploaded noscript to my firefox browser and noticed that when I select the first video, I get a blue flashplayer icon in the center of the black screen that turns into a play icon. The page still attempts autoplay, as the video content begins to load. When I select the icon in the center of the video, the video fails to play. I have to select a new video and then hit the back button to get it to play.

I have youtube, ytimg, and google whitelisted. I believe it is simply because NS stops the autoplay feature upon the initial visit to the site. Is there any way to fix this?

???

If there were a NoScript involved blockage, you should see a placemarker (possibly overlaid), a RED Flash icon (even though you may actually be served HTML), & a RED NoScript symbol.

In any case, by default, for Allowed sites, embeds (like Flash & <VIDEO>) are not even blocked.

Thinking you've got something else going on?
