1) "allowed.untrusted-glb" indicates that NoScript string is missing for your locale (Italian?). That is a bug unrelated to this...
(viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20593 discusses the same issue for a different string)

2) What's actually in the NoScript menu when you see that? Please post a screenshot of it, showing the Untrusted submenu too

Looks like you've marked about:reader as Untrusted.
And, you say that you try to go into Untrusted and Allow about:reader, but the Allow doesn't stick? If that is what happens, go to about:config > noscript.untrusted and delete by hand the about:reader entry?

It appears to stick only for the current session, but I'm not completely sure about that either.

Nothing, because about:reader is not in there.

This is a really odd one...

Please create a clean profile from scratch. Install only NoScript latest development build, leaving all the defaults.
Does the problem still exist?
If not, what if you then import your NS settings into the clean profile using the Import and Export buttons *on the very bottom* of NS Options?

EDIT: sorry, I misread. I didn't perform the first test.

EDIT2: OK, I can confirm that the problem doesn't occur with the default noscript configuration.
Once allowed, the permission for about:reader is kept. Not the same with my exported config, at least for wikipedia.

Hmm. Try importing only your whitelist/Untrusted list to an otherwise clean/default profile (NoScript > Options > Export/Import, the buttons unique to the whitelist panel) and see if you have the problem then?

How hard would it be to rebuild your whitelist / Untrusted list from the export?
I think it's likely fix if you go to about:config and reset noscript.untrusted but I'm not sure... I guess you could right-click it > copy value to somewhere else before resetting it.

Also, if you don't mind, can you PM the exported whitelist file's contents to Giorgio Maone or a moderator (me, GµårÐïåñ, therube, or Thrawn) please, and whoever gets it can post it in our forum-staff-only forum? If we have it one of us might be able to spot the problem.
If it contains too much personal information then forget it I guess.

I think the about:reader URL is not just "about:reader", but "about:reader?[...]" or "about:reader.[...]". Your screenshot shows wikipedia which you marked as Untrusted.. I suspect that as such the about:reader you are viewing is being treated as an untrusted subdomain of about:reader (IOW, untrusted)...

Test:
- Try viewing a website neither in trusted list nor untrusted list, e.g. https://hackademix.net, in about:reader
- Try viewing a site in your whitelist in about:reader


I've posted that PM in the Admin/Mods-only forum in case I'm wrong or they have any other thoughts.

I'm not quite sure I understand the second part. Does it mean that if wikipedia is untrusted then I can't use the reader on it?

But I will try the other thing too if I can insert it by hand.

- Try viewing a site in your whitelist in about:reader

No problem in both cases (except the suggested site, which doesn't show a reader icon ).
