5/22/2015 update broke FireFox v. 3.6.17 on Linux

Post by WhyNot »

Hi,

Yesterday, the 22nd, there was an update for NoScript. After I let it install FireFox would no longer load. I finally had to go manually delete pieces of NoScript from the profile to get FireFox to actually start. Not fun.

The update before that actually stripped NoScript out of FireFox and I had to reinstall it. Worked for a day or two, until yesterday.

Any ideas? I don't want to install it again until I know the problem is fixed., as it was a pain to get FireFox going again.

Any reason you're not using Firefox 3.6.28 ?

More to the point though, NoScript should be compatible with Firefox 3.0.9 and later so this could be a bug.. Image

As a test, create a new, clean profile. Install only NoScript latest development build, leaving all defaults.
What happens?

In the meantime, I suggest you install an old version of NoScript that you KNOW works, and disable NoScript from automatic updating, until this gets resolved.

It should be fixed in latest development build 2.6.9.24rc1. Please check, thanks.
