[Resolved] Noscript leaves blank frame

Post by Kiouki »

Hello and good morning from Germany.

Yesterday i had to reset NoScript. It didnt show up any longer below my browser and the button in my browserbar wouldnt let my allow or disallow anything.

Unfortenately with the reset something changed that i didnt want to change. I am playing browsergames on zyngagames.com. While i play there is a "newsfeed" to the right that is supposed to get help and help others with things they need in the game. Since the reset, there are huge blank frames in this newsfeed and they really getting on my nerves. So this morning i loged on to my older computer where this frame wont show a blank spot, exported the settings and imported them with this computer. But still this feed shows empty frames. It HAS to be something in NoScript since that was the only thing that i changed yesterday.

Frame information shows: https://zynga2-a.akamaihd.net/zap/zac/1 ... ml#5712384. Injection_frame is what has to be hidden?

Usualy it looked like this:

But now it looks like this (and sometimes there are even 2 huge blank spaces):

Can you help me?

Dont know if it helps, but here are some more informations on the frame that i have found

<div class="zui zui_listitem zui_zdc_gameboard_rts_feedAd">
<iframe class="zui zui_zdc_common_ads zui_zdc_common_ads_fixed1" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" src="https://zyngagames.com/iframe-widget/co ... fa95public" style="height: 254px;">

And the name of the scripts are:

crossdomain.min.js
xd_injection_frame.js

Any chance i can set a rule that these js's are never allowed to load?

No, these 2 options where already active, but the iframe still came up.

I solved this with AdBlockPlus. There was an option to open all blockable elements. Searched there for "iframe" and disabled the 3 elements that were found.

I know i never did this on my old pc and the only change i made yesterday was the NoScript reset. I dont know why i had to block it with the other Addon now. Im just glad i dont have to look at these blank elements anymore :D

If you ever need more than just nuisance blocking, then remember that ABP isn't reliable. An ABE rule would work better.
