[RESOLVED] NoScript dissappears

Post by RonBosk »

Hello,
I've got NoScript installed as addon to FireFox, both up-to-date.
NoScript was visible in the toolbar and as a button down-right when scripts were blocked.
Suddenly NoScript doesn't show up, neither in the toolbar or as button. Still blocking content, but no way to get pages accepted.
Anyone an idea what's wrong? I can't find a solution.

Thanks in advance.
Ron.

Does it show up somewhere when you Right-click empty space of a toolbar > Customize... ?

Is it in the page context menu?

Also, if you go to about:addons, you should see be able to access the preferences.

Thanks for responding,

@Barbaz,
It doesn't show up in any area, only in the addon's page.

@Thrawn,
Yes, via the page with the addon's the options (or prefferences) can be reached.

But i didn't find any option to get NoScript back on screen.
But it's active, cause the screen displaying that NoScript is updated did show up this morning.
I had an icon in the toolbar to access noscript anyway, and during blocks the button was available. Both are gone but NoScript still blocks script. Just no way to allow some.

Does disabling all extensions other than NoScript get it back? (Tools > Add-ons Manager)
Are you using the default theme?
Do you have a userChrome.css?

Can you right-click on the toolbar and select Customize?

Hi again,
Yes, i tried already to disable all other, no succes.
There were also no changes in there over the last months. The problem arose prox 2 weeks ago.

Yes, right-click gives the option to customize, but also no link to NoScript to see.

The most disturbing fact is that NoScript still is active and blocking scripts (at least as far i can see), just no option to allow some.

Searching for userChrome.css negative, no sign of.
And still using default theme, don't need or wish to change

See if Standard Diagnostic and/or a new, clean profile helps.

Sorry for the time taken, sometimes ....
But i've created a new profile and then NoScript can be installed again. It then will show up, so this does the job.
Now i'll get a nice job in restoring all other settings, the old profile still kept available so that must be able.

Thanks for the hints and help.
