Mediasource script on YouTube

Post by Fivealive »

I just updated to Firefox 37 and now noscript I'd blocking this mediasource script , which in turn is blocking youtube html5 from working.

My question is what is it and is it safe to allow?

*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

I actually did do a search on the forums before posting, I found all those posts but I still don't get why it is exactly and if it's safe

It's like the blob: URL scheme, and it's safe from a NoScript standpoint because can only be created by a script and used same-domain, therefore if you've got one you're already trusting the site which created it.
