[Unrelated] radar.weather.gov problem

I use Firefox 36.0.4 with noscript 2.6.9.19 on an Intel windows 7 pro machine. Java 8 update 40 is enabled. When I open the radar.weather.gov site and click the map button for my own or any other area, the radar display opens successfully. But if I click any of the loop links, instead of the expected animated display, I receive a "A plugin is needed to display this content" message. On IE 11.0.17 on the same machine, the site works as expected. The site is allowed to run scripts, and I removed the permission and then white-listed the site, and this changed nothing. Interestingly enough, when I am at the site and click the National loop, the animation displays as expected. I have also tested the site on another machine on the same home network and no issues. I have no clue what plugin might be required and where it might be located, but I don't think this is actually the issue. Anyone have an idea?

Assuming I'm looking at the correct things, all looks to be working on my end.
Is there a need for Java?
The may be a need for Flash (depending on what you're doing).

Flash is installed & enabled (about:addons -> Plugins)?

If you disable all other extensions except for NoScript, does the problem persist?

radar.weather.gov loops are animated GIFs or Flash objects.

So yeah, you need to install Flash for Firefox - it's a separate program from Flash for IE.
