port other that normal ports

Post by Guest »

hi
I have always used noscript and i like it very much so i am gonna report something that i found that i am sure a bug (though not a sever bug )

in this website (Tehran traffic map) http://trafficcontrol.tehran.ir/Default.aspx?tabid=103 the site connects to an ip (not a domain-name but a direct ip) and gets some info and more importantly some scripts from it .until this far this in normal but when I allow that ip on http://31.24.237.137 to run scripts I saw that the website didn't work ok (it is supposed to show speed camera points too but it doesn't) then i saw that noscript icon shows that there are un-allowed scripts that are not run but when i click on noscript icon i see no un-allowed script for me to allow. after allowing scripts to run globally ,firefox went insane and gobbled up the all my ram and hanged .after forcefully killing firefox i found the problem by using the "temporary allow all all this page" option of noscript.the problem is that the script are served on a not standard port on that ip (in this case 4100 port) so making the temporary noscript rules permanent it showed up as this allowed "http://31.24.237.137:4100"
and it worked.
the weird part is that if i allow all that ip (allow 31.24.237.137) to tun scripts it still doesn't work and i have to specify the port by using the temporary allow workaround that i said.that confused me a lot cause I thought that allowing the main ip would give the other ports than 80 and 443 access to run script too

so to make my long post clear or as they say TL;DR version : the noscript doesn't show the port on direct ip website for me to allow but recognize them correctly with temporary allowing.so please fix this so that is show on the icon click without having to allow temporary allowing to find it out.

i hoped i showed my point across plainly.

Yes, it looks like a bug.
Investigating, thank you.
