Lost the ability to "Allow all this page"

Post by diamond_D »

:?: I'm running a couple of different versions of Firefox 34 on Linux Mint and Windows 7. It seems like I no longer have the "Allow all from this page" option and only have the ability to temporarily whitelist. Has something changed with NoScript recently or am I missing something obvious?

Are you using Private Browsing?
If so, select the "Permanent Allow... commands in private windows" option which should appear in NoScript's menu (but beware that any permanent site-related configuration change kind of defeats private browsing).

Thanks for the explanation. I just read through the changelog and noticed the developments.

I'll also take time to say Kudos to you. You are a great coder and I greatly admire NoScript. Best security browser add-on ever!!!!

Win Vista 64, Firefox 35 ... same deal ... not "private browsing" .. all i have is "recently blocked sites" temporarily allow all ... and a lot of other options are gone. They are selected in "options."

which noscript version? 2.6.9.10?

does it works for you in a clean profile with all defaults and just noscript installed?
if so please try Standard Diagnostic on your normal profile and let us know the results, ta

I too have noticed the disappearance of the "Allow", "Temp Allow", and "Forbid" context menu items.
Everything above "Recently Blocked Sites" is GONE.

@Prism_Spark: known issue, you need to either update NoScript to latest version or downgrade your Fx to 34 or earlier. see viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20478

Hi,

for a couple of weeks now I've been experiencing a similar problem. Currently I'm running FF 34.0.5 with NoScript 2.6 9.11.
Every now and then the "allow this site" button doesn't work anymore, you clickt it, but nothing happens. Only temporary allowance is possible. To get the function back I have to reset to default settings, although nothing has been changed. After that it works again for about a day or so. Reinstalling noscript hasn't changed anything.

Do you get a message in the Browser Console (Ctrl-Shift-J) when it doesn't work?
If not, anything possibly related in the Browser Console on browser startup? (if you don't know what's related, turn off CSS warnings and post everything else you see)

Hi,

thanks for the advice, the browser console did the trick. There seems to be a problem with a self built add-on, hosted for our local intranet. After disabling that, things seem to run smooth again.
