Javacript: URI have to be typed into the urlbar?

Javascript: URI have to be typed into the urlbar, in FF?

javascript:("Hello World!");

Pasting it in, FF strips the 'javascript:'.
Typed in, it works.

Is there a Pref to change that behavior?
(Even Web Developer forces you to set a Pref before you can paste.)


(SeaMonkey still works as expected.)
