hi. flashgot works wonderfully, use it with getright...
i use flashgot media for videos, and when there is just one file it downloads fine...
but if there is a list of all these different types, they are all checked by default and i need to uncheck them all one at a time... but the check marks seem to have nothing to do with the selection...
if i highlight a file, by selecting it in blue and do just that, getright goes crazy and randomly attempts to download files, sometimes as many as half of them, sometimes ones it tried to download days ago...
it does this every time...
it keeps trying to download videoplayback...
if i'm "lucky" it'll even include the one i selected to download...
i only have this problem with the flashgot media button, flashgot works fine with everything else, though sometimes it doesn't recognize a link...
any clues?
how to download one file?
how to download one file?

Re: how to download one file?
edit: it's finally doing the right file, but it's 4 bytes/second and it says it'll take me 443 days...
there were two medium_mp4 files on the list, i hope it's the right one...

Re: how to download one file?
ok i was able to get a few of them by selecting all of them and randomly hoping (they're not that big...)
this time i selected all of them (about a dozen or so, most of them very small...) i wanted the two that said large, but it downloaded two files from another video i never seen before... it keeps trying to do that, even though i keep deleting them from the list...
getright used to work great for me until i bought it...
they never answer me...i tried before, they never did...

Re: how to download one file?
my main question is...
how do you actually get getright to download the files you selected from the list,
and not other ones it decides to do out of the blue...
anyone know?

Re: how to download one file?
Doesn't getright provide you with any kind of filtering?
You can do some filtering in FlashGot.
Options | Downloads
Enable File Extensions, then add those that you're looking for.
Enable Apply file extension filter to batch downloads too if necessary.

Re: how to download one file?
thanks, i can try that...
i can tell it to only download
mp4 webm and flv...
it keeps downloading all the small ones
whether i use getright or not...
when i want the medium and large
(which it downloads too)
but this'll help...
edit: just tried that
still downloaded everything
clicked the batch box too...
well...at least i can get the ones i want
just cancel everything else...

Where, Youtube?
If so, Youtube is a bit different & you should select the particular clip(s) wanted from the FlashGot Media icon.

Re: how to download one file?
yes, i have been on youtube...
> select the particular clip(s)
that did it!
i had to highlight in blue the ones i wanted
and uncheck all the ones i didn't...
what threw me off was that deselecting all of them
(inverting selection) left them all checked
and i had to uncheck them all manually...
thought it was the highlighting in blue
cause that's what the inverting inverted...
now it seems the highlighting has nothing to do with it
it's the check marks...
works great...
and if any traces are left from the video before on the list
i can just refresh the page and it clears it...
thank you...
