Has anyone else had a problem with the latest update of Firefox update 33.1.1 uninstalling NoScript? I only noticed it was missing this morning when I went somewhere and it didn't ask for temporary permissions. It was there last night. Upon further looking, the plugin was completely gone from the list. All my other plugins were there and active. I reinstalled NoScript and it works fine. I'm really ticked with Firefox at the moment.

I also had this problem, but it occurred this morning before I updated to 33.1.1. When I reinstalled it and then updated to 33.1.1 from 33.1, it was still there.

What NoScript version did you have before it vanished?
Have you scanned your whole systems for malware, using both your antivirus and a tool like Malwarebytes Anti-malware (the free version will do)?
Could you please list all your other extensions (& versions) here?
@anyone else who has this problem: please completely shut down Fx then back up your entire profile before reinstalling NoScript, so that it can be referenced for examining.

HI barbaz,
I had the most current version of NoScript, as it auto updated just a few days ago. When I found it missing, I did a full scan with Malwarebytes and Avast. Clean system according to both. The only thing I can remember was a FF plugin-container.exe crash last night, and FF reloaded. I didn't notice anything missing at that point. It was this AM when discovered NS missing. I've also found a few other seldom used plugins missing. An obvious one "Classic Theme Restorer", which is why my tabs look different. I looked it up, and see someone else had it missing this AM with the newer version of FF 33.1, and it won't "stick" when he reinstalled it. It would seem to me to be a FF thing. But, just in case Here's a list of what is still on my FF:
ColorZilla 2.8
Disable clipboard manipulations 1.0.1
DoNotTrackMe: 4.0.1249
Form History Control 1.3.3.0
Print Edit 12.10
Print pages to PDF 0.1.9.3
RightToClick 2.9.5
TrafficLight 0.2.17
Unhide Passwords 1.2.7.0
Reinstalled: NoScript 2.6.9.4
I also thank you for the suggestion to back up my profile before reinstalling any extensions. I will be sure to do so, just in case this happens again.

Well, it seems this problem is an Avast! antivirus problem, not FF. A google search for "firefox 33.1 removing addons?" revealed others with the same issue. ghacks and the Avast forums complaining about losing their addons as well. I use FF & Avast on 2 machines, this one with the missing addons, and other no issue. From what I gather is when this version of Avast program (not definitions) installed, it changed my settings for browser cleanup and grime fighter from "OFF" to "On", and when FF updated, Avast triggered the removal. It seems to be random from what I've read, though I'm going to back up my profile on the other machine, just in case! Also, be sure to double check the settings on any Avast updated program BEFORE starting FF. Thanks for reading everyone!

In light of this issue I've decided I will now start using my signature from mozillaZine on this board as well. Apologies to those for whom I'm too late.
