before anything i have to say i searched for the answer but dint find it (also i am bad at codes thingies so i might have missed it somewhere) -
2 days ago i could go to a web, click the video (so it would start and appear on the flashgot) and download it via right click with the name it had on the web site
(example, i am here www.summer23.com, the title of the web is "summer for the wing" (not real site) , i start to download a video and flashgot auto-trace the name and names the video "summer for the wing".... yesterday i used a cleaning program (cose i wanted to get rid of useless files etc) and after that when i go to a web site to download a video, the flashgot auto-trace it as "video/mp4" for every video... i want it to become like it was before so it could trace the right name.
PLZ HELP - i am using firefox

Flashgot auto-trace names

Re: Flashgot auto-trace names
What download manager?
> i go to a web site to download a video
Is this also www.summer23.com or a different site?
It is possible FlashGot is able to determine a "pretty" name from one & not the other.
If you return to summer23, do files from there get named correctly?

Re: Flashgot auto-trace names
the site is the same.... one day it was tracing the name just fine and after i cleaned up my pc with the "x" (i dont adveritse) program. it started showing video/mp4 on every video i was trying to download from this site - note that on youtube (and some other sites), i see theirs name just fine... on the site i am using i see "video/mp4 - video.mp4"(the video/mp4 is the type of the video and the video.mp4 is the name) and when i download it, the name is as "video/mp4" --- download manager, i see "Default (Browser Built In)" ..... I THINK it is the same as before the clean up. not sure. - the site is nwanime.com (i hope i wont get banned cose of this). plus i never had this problem before, and i go to this site for years..... - long story short... i want the flashgot to trace the name of the videos and any other downloable object to be the same as the title of the web site

Re: Flashgot auto-trace names
The same happened to me,
Yesterday I could download any video with the right episode name from stream-tv.me or justanimedubbed.tv and today the file's names are just video.mp4 or "numbers".mp4. It's still good on youtube though.
I just deleted my Firefox history and cookies and I don't understand why the file's names are not showing anymore.

Re: Flashgot auto-trace names
The Problem is Due to FG new version.
I went back to version 1.5.6.5 and all the video file's names are correct again.
I hope you'll find the solution.
Problem solved Temporarily
Thanks
