Noscript.net troubleshooting page?

Post by Thrawn »

Should noscript.net (and/or flashgot.net) have a Troubleshooting page?

I'm thinking of something like:
What kind of problem are you experiencing?
  • Site doesn't work...
<instructions to check menu, submenus, error console, etc>
    • Blocked site(s): <action>
    • XSS filter: <action>
    • ABE message: <action>
    • Clearclick: <action>
    • Cross-site Javascript: <action>
  • Conflict with another extension, toolbar, etc...
<instructions on how to check which one is at fault>
    • Other extension's fault: <action>
    • Definitely NoScript's fault: <action>
  • Configuration problems...
    • Settings lost: <action>
    • I can't figure out how to <xyz>: <action>
  • Something else...
<instructions to search forum, links to sticky posts, etc, with encouragement to ask for help if not found>

Just saw this topic now
(Why is this private, and not in Metaforum?)

That would be a really good idea if you think the intended audience would actually find it, read it, and follow those instructions, but as it is, quite a few people don't read the FAQ there already is. Do you think this would be more accessible in that people would be more likely to read it?

Note that in some cases posting on this board is the best course of action, is it worth mentioning those in this guide at all?
