Can I blacklist a host but whitelist the rest of the domain?

Post by slickrcbd »

On tthfanfic.org aka Twisting the Hellmouth, the forum has some annoying scripts that steal focus, but I don't see any other impairment of function disabling JavaScript.
However, JavaScript is absolutely necessary everywhere else on the site.

Is there a way to get NoScript to blacklist forums.tthfanfic.org but whitelist *.tthfanfic.org and tthfanfic.org (no host)?

mark "forums.tthfanfic.org" as untrusted, then allow "tthfanfic.org"

How do I do this? Apparently all scripts are for tthfanfic.org and I can't see a way to manually add forums.tthfanfic.org to the untrusted list.

What I want is for javascript to be disabled when viewing a page on forum.tthfanifc.org, although apparently it loads scripts from tthfanfic.org. I need scripts from tthfanfic.org when viewing fanfictions on www.tthfanfic.org.

The browser button just gives me the option to "forbid tthfanfic.org", which messes up other parts of the website other than the forums.

I don't want any scripts to run that are called from forum.tthfanfic.org, but I do want scripts from other parts of the site called.

I don't think I'm making much sense, but I'm not sure what words to use if you aren't familiar with the site, and a lot of people never explore the other areas other than the fanfic archive. I myself rarely use the forums and use the fanfic archive almost exclusively.

Oh, sorry, forgot something cause I'm so used to it being enabled all the time: You need to
NoScript Options > Appearance, enable/check "Full Domains"
(you can disable it again once you marked the site as untrusted, if you want)

Thank you, that seems to be working.

Sorry to be a bit of a pain. TTH seems to be one of the few sites that actually use the host.domain.toplevel format the way they are officially defined these days.
