I get this error message and have no clue how to fix.
pyLoad is not responding on http://127.0.0.1:9666/flashgot!
Please check your firewall settings and the pyLoad configuration for the 'ClickAndLoad' plugin.
Or try to restart pyLoad or the device itself (pyLoad may not be responding properly after some time).

Re: pyLoad
Have TRIED to install pyLoad -- both pyLoadCore and pyLoadGUI abort, after setup. Now setup freezes! This is so frustrating! I have a time limit to be able to download a particular file and it looks like I will miss the deadline! Haven't others had this problem? Why is there nothing about that particular error message in the FAQ?
For YouTube videos, I use aTube Catcher, or YTD Video Downloader, or VDownloader, depending. Mostly it's aTube Catcher; if it doesn't work for whatever reason, I try the others.

Re: pyLoad
Any reason you need to use pyLoad?
If nothing else, won't Browser Built-in work?

Re: pyLoad
Finally got it to work, messed around with different things. Yes, it is now using Browser Built-in. Don't know what other changes made it work as that was not working at all before I made this query. But I'm changing anything more since it is now working!

Re: pyLoad
I had the same question. pyload is appearing in my ff29 on w8 as flashgot options. I don't have anything pyload installed on my system.
I have selected "default" that is orbit, but still firefox downloads my links, doesn't send them to orbit.
How did you remove pyload if you can please share.
Thanks.

Re: pyLoad
If you don't actually have pyLoad installed, then it is not affecting anything (expect having a presence as a menu item).
FlashGot itself & FlashGot Media very well could have different download manager settings. Make sure both are set as you wish.
