trying to add an entry issue

Post by bruinator »

I have an entry that is being blocked by noscript. The entry is called JAVASCRIPT.VOID(LAUNCHGAMEDAY( there is more to that string though. How do I allow it so it will appear?

need more details
What do you mean by "entry"?
Is this on a publicly accessible website that doesn't require login to see this, and if so, could you please post a link? (wrap in tags like

Code: Select all

your link here
to avoid link breaking)

What do you mean by "entry"? where the url shows up in the lower left portion of the window.

Ti happens when the game is still being played and the game is over. Will post more info during the game tomorrow.

Ah. That's a JavaScript link, which isn't really a link, just a way of launching a JavaScript function.

As barbaz mentioned, it would help if we knew the site that you're having trouble with.

I'm not seeing any "JAVASCRIPT:VOID(LAUNCHGAMEDAY" on the page at all, NS enabled or not...
Can you please post a screenshot?

Even with the URL shown in your screenshot, I'm still not getting the links you described, with or without NS enabled.

What extension is generating those Flash placeholders? That doesn't look like NoScript...
If you completely disable NoScript (Tools -> Add-ons Manager -> NoScript -> Disable -> Yes, remove ALL protections) does it then work as expected?

Similar URL: http://www.milb.com/gameday/index.jsp?g ... de=gameday
(tour link was mangled)

There is a "link", top left, below the red 'MiLB', 'Gameday Mini':
> javascript:launchGameday({gid:'2013_04_04_tolaaa_louaaa_1',mode:'mini'})

Working on my end.

That seems to be blocked by your Flash blocker.

It worked fine with flashblock. It started to happen when i installed noscript. That tells me something with noscript is causing the page from rendering correctly.

BTW I do not see > javascript:launchGameday({gid:'2013_04_04_tolaaa_louaaa_1',mode:'mini'}) anymore so that is not an issue. What would coz this from noscript plz?

thx

this. ^ ^

If that *does* solve it, does it also work to reset your Untrusted list (about:config -> reset noscript.untrusted; might want to copy the value elsewhere to restore after) and then select Allow Scripts Globally?
