Regression: menu sometimes displayed on wrong side of icon

Post by barbaz »

SeaMonkey 2.29a1. When NoScript 2.6.8.21rc1's toolbar button is placed in SeaMonkey's bookmarks bar, it sometimes displays the menu on the wrong side of the icon (on top instead of on bottom).
It only does that on some sites though, including these forums.

2.6.8.22rc1 seems to have fixed this...
EDIT Not fixed completely, but it's happening a lot less often.

STR with 2.6.8.23rc1 and NS icon in SeaMonkey's bookmarks bar:
1) Move the SeaMonkey window off the bottom of the screen, so that the NS icon is visible but there's no room below it for the menu.
2) Open the menu by hovering over the NS bookmarks bar icon. It displays on top (as expected).
3) Move the window back to a more reasonable place, leaving room for the menu both above and below the icon, and repeat step (2). The first time you open the menu it will be on the wrong side (on top), but after that it works as expected (menu below icon).

(To note, previously the window dragging wasn't needed, and the menu would *not* switch back to its proper place after being opened once.)

So now I don't know what to think...

Confirmed.

FF does the same.

I find it kind of amusing.
And I'd think it not to be something regularly run into.

A quick look says it is not website specific.

Well, it was regular for a bit here (without the window dragging) but now, not so much.

It's only website-specific to the extent that different sites result in different length menus.
