I don't know what I did, but recently I began getting a flashgot.[my Firefox profile deignation].default folder repeatedly appearing in my downloads folder.
That folder contains:
flashgot.sh.test
FlashGot.test
I pored over my FlashGot prefs and I can't see what I did to cause that. Can I turn it off? (And should I?)

Re: flashgot.[xxx].default folder suddenly appearing repeate
Please double check in FlashGot Options|Advanced that the temporary folder is not set to your download folder.

Oh, thanks, Giorgio Maone — that was it.... What should it be set to? My Mac OS X "environmental variable" folder?
/var/folders/WA/WA1FKS50GPyuWWLI++IggE+++TM/-Tmp-
Is that right?

Re: flashgot.[xxx].default folder suddenly appearing repeate
It should, but you just need to reset the flashgot.tmpDir about:config preference, if it exists, and the temporary directory used by Firefox (which usually is the system's one) will be picked automatically.Schmye Bubbula wrote:Oh, thanks, Giorgio Maone — that was it....
