OS X 10.9.2
2007 First REV aluminum iMac
4 GB ram
All of a sudden for the last week or so Firefox would not retrieve Google searches in the URL, Google home page or even if I typed Google dot com in the URL. I can get the Google page, but would only get "connecting to" spinning activity Firefox in the tab when putting in say "dog". I always use Firefox Beta with NoScript for the last 4 years with ZERO issues and I am online daily.
I uninstalled Firefox with App Zapper and manually pulled everything Mozilla out of the root library. I tried reinstalling normal Firefox and Beta Firefox and the minute I install NoScript Google search is dead on any Firefox. I have tried this 4 times.
I Skip installing NoScript and install all my other extensions, Ghostery, AdBlock Edge, Bit Defender Trafficlight, and Better Piracy and Google search still works. I install NoScript and it takes out Google search. I even try to uninstall NoScript and reboot Firefox and Google search is still dead.
Any ideas??

Re: Firefox/Mac/NoScript=no google search
Just came back after leaving the computer and Google search does not work. Looks as if it is not a direct link to NoScript. It could be, but not 1 for 1. I don't have time to just load Firefox alone with NO extentions to see what happens I will try that later today.

Re: Firefox/Mac/NoScript=no google search
What sites appear on the NoScript menu?
Is there anything in the Browser Console when the problem occurs?
When you tried installing extensions one at a time, did you try installing just NoScript, or did you only install it after installing everything else? It's possible that there is a conflict between two extensions.

Re: Firefox/Mac/NoScript=no google search
I re downloaded Firefox Beta again. Installed it and Google worked until I shut Firefox down and restarted it. Then Google was broken. No extensions or bookmarks were added. I think this is a Firefox forums issue, but I will take any ideas.

Then it wasn't NoScript, I guess. Not much I can suggest, except that the stable Firefox release should work.Mania wrote:No extensions or bookmarks were added.
