Symbols reversed?

Post by possiblycrazy »

Hello. Very superficial question here.

I swear that when I started using NoScript, in the dropdown list of scripts at the top-left of Firefox, the ones that WERE blocked had the red circle/slash next to them. And that seems to be what it says on the features page: http://noscript.net/features

Now it's reversed. The scripts that are blocked have the clear symbol, and the ones allowed have the red circle/slash. Next to the clear symbols it says Allow, and next to the x'ed out ones it says Forbid.

Am I going crazy?

No, it's always been the opposite: the icon refers to the action to be performed, not to the status.
Therefore, the ones which are currently blocked have no red circle (i.e. "Allow currently-blocked-site.com"), those which are currently enabled have the red circle standing for "Forbid currently-enabled-site.com".

Ah, I see. I was looking at the individual symbols in the dropdown, but the feature page is referring to the single symbol beside the web address.
One symbol to rule them all.
Thanks!
