I´ve googled my problem, but didn´t found an usefull solution.
Here is my problem:
I use Firefox 26 in portable mode
I install FlashPlayer 11 or 12....no matter which one.
I have the NorScript AddOn 2.6.8.5
I have some other AddOns in Firefox: AddBlockPlus, Download Status Bar, DownloadHelper, FlagFox, PrintPages to pdf
Everytime when the flash plugin startet in PlugInContainer, the plugin vontainer crashes an restarts.
The only woraround which fits at my firefox is to use Flash Player 10 for Firefox or deactivate NoScript.
I use Firefox 26 in portable mode....but the problem also exists in version 23 - 25.
I use Windows XP and Windows 7 (different pc´s)
What are you doing to use both plugins?
greetings,

Re: Plugin Container is crashing if Flash player is loaded
there has been a long history of people having problems with "flash player", when using it with "firefox", ever since flash player 11 was first released..
in order to avoid problems, i used the ESR version of flash player 10, until it no longer was supported.. now i use the ESR version of flash player 11, build 11.7.x.. using the ESR versions of "flash player", i have not had any problems with "flash player"..
"ESR" is "extended support release", meaning that it is an "old" version which continues to be patched, as needed..
you can download the ESR versions of "flash player" from here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplay ... tion3.html
the ESR verion of "flash player", build 11.7.x, is the last in the list, near the bottom of the webpage, posted above.. be careful to get the "plugin" version of "flash player", to use with "firefox"..
also, if you are using "noscript build 2.6.8.5", you should update "noscript" to the current version, build 2.6.8.13..
it also might be good to check the "system requirements" for "flash player".. the various versions require a video card with a certain amount of memory.. if your video card does not have the amount of memery that adobe says is required, that might be a problem.. i am not sure, but i think that FP 11 requires a minimum of 128 MB of memory on the video card and that FP 12 requires a minimum of 512 MB of memory on the video card.. you can check it out..
also, you can look in mozilla-support for information about issues with "flash player".. in the past, at least, "realplayer" plugins were known to cause problems with "flash player"..

Re: Plugin Container is crashing if Flash player is loaded
I had the same problem on Mac OS X. Only thing that mitigated it for me was downgrading to latest available Flash Player 11.2. That eliminated Flash crashes except when Flash had to download a large amount of data in short time.

If you disable the other extensions, do you still crash with just FF, Flash & NoScript?
What Plugins do you have?
If you disable all Plugins except for Flash do you still crash?
As a test, if you create a new, clean Profile, then add only Flash & NoScript, do you also crash?
@barbaz (& @Prokureur too, for that matter), was your crashing with Flash & NoScript? As in, if you disabled NoScript, does Flash continue to crash?
Sometimes Flash just does not like particular hardware leaving you with no real options other then to drop down to an older version of Flash or to disable Flash "protections" (Protected Mode).

At the time I didn't even think of disabling NS, and I cannot use my Mac as a test machine, sorry.therube wrote:@barbaz (& @Prokureur too, for that matter), was your crashing with Flash & NoScript? As in, if you disabled NoScript, does Flash continue to crash?
(I had other reasons for downgrading also - apparently Shockwave for Director on Mac runs at an unusably slow crawl when installed alongside Flash versions other than 11.2. Weird.)
