Hi there, the latest update 2.6.8 caused the icon in the lower right to disappear. I'm using Seamonkey 2.24 on a windows 8.1 32 bit lenovo lynx tablet. I tried removing and reinstalling noscript and the icon came back until I shut down and restarted seamonkey for the second time. I restored my profile back to a backup that I had from sep that has noscript 2.7 on it and that worked fine until the noscript was updated again. (is it possible to turn off the automatic updates?)
It's strange because I have basically the same profile on a 64 bit windows 8.1 desktop with seamonkey 2.24 and the icon works fine.
I can still right click and access noscript that way, and it is functioning properly.

Re: Icon Disappearing
Hi an addendum. It was actually Seamonkey 2.23 that originally gave me the problem. A Seamonkey 2.24 update came out today and that temporarily brought back the icon again until I restarted seamonkey twice then it disappeared again.

Re: Icon Disappearing
latest noscript version is actually 2.6.8.14
what versions of what other extensions do you have?
try Standard Diagnostic, please post here the results
gear icon -> un-check "update addons automatically"
*or*
noscript -> more -> set automatic updates: off

Re: Icon Disappearing
I've never lost the icon in SeaMonkey.
FF is a different story though, sometimes with it never appearing.
Might try removing then reinstalling (NoScript that is).
Might try removing Adblock Plus if you have that. (2.4.1 seems to be buggy in SeaMonkey in any case. Not [necessarily] respecting the "Show in toobar" setting, & also not reflecting its state (via icon); enabled or disabled.)
MIght see if the NoScript icon shows up in the 'Customize' menu & if you can drag it to the Status Bar?

Re: Icon Disappearing
It looks Like it's Adblock Plus 2.4.1 that did it. I had already disabled everything but adblock plus and the extensions that come with Seamonkey.
When I disabled adblock the icon came back and stayed for several restarts, then when I re-enabled adblock it went away again after a couple of restarts.
The tip about using customize was great. I put a Noscript icon on the toolbar and that one stays put. I Didn't know I could do that.
Stupid Adblock insists on putting an icon on the toolbar even if you uncheck that option and tell it not to.
By the way I had tried installing 2.8.14 RC1 yesterday and that's what I have at the moment, but the problem has been around for 2 or 3 weeks.
