For me privacy and security are almost the same on internet.
I want to use some websites that do not work without these API's, like for instance a forum (not this one this one is nice and low on scripts

)
So if I allow googel api (there are probably also others but google is the biggest) it can record the website I'm visiting and my IP. So it stores that with my profile or the profile of my IP. If I make use of one of the services owned by google they can link that IP to my person. So I try to give as little as possible to google.
If I do not allow google at all (and others) than I can just as well go back to the pre GUI erra and do everything by commandline.
So I was hoping for a friendly way to guard my privacy/security.
And yes I did use adblock plus, until he started to allow paying (to him) advertisers. So now I use Adblock edge. And better pricacy, do not track me, https everywhere and self destruckting kookies. Yes I value my privacy
