No statusbar icon in Seamonkey after update to 2.6.8.12!

Post by FourthDr »

Hi:

Just had my noscript add-on for Seamonkey 2.23 update to 2.6.8.12 and the status bar icon is missing. I've looked through all the setting and nothing has changed. Except the icon is not there any longer. If I turn on notifications that will appear, but not the icon. This is a problem since when I arrive at a page where I need to temporarily allow a script I no longer have a way to access the settings! I would normally right click the status bar icon to change the settings as needed. HELP! Please fix this! Thanks!!

Also, I should mention that Adblock plus's icon went away and the same time. However, there was a check box in the settings which restored the icon. Noscript doesn't have a similar check box anywhere in the settings.

there's supposed to be one, but it hides from me also
so, you need to go about:config -> toggle noscript.statusIcon

*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

The about:config was already set to display icon. Had to disable adblock restart and the icon was back for noscript. Then re-enable adblock and then both icons came back. The problem I was having was the same as in linked thread. That's strange. What would have caused that??
