Images on www.spiegel.de blocked (only the second half)

On www.spiegel.de I get images only for the first half of the page. On the second half no embedded images are displayed.

Behavior stops when NoScript is disabled completely or for spiegel.de only.

Could anyone shed some light on this?

If by "disabled for speigel.de only" you mean (Temp-)Allowing the top-level site, then probably the images are being loaded by a script that waits until you scroll to the image to load it. That's a long page, I would guess that they're trying to save bandwidth by not making requests for images people won't see anyway.

Looks to be something like this that "displays" the images & that only happens if spiegel.de is Allowed? Suppose the issue lies in one of the external JS routines?
