instruction at "0x30cb0a4f" referenced...

Post by Guest »

I have recently picked up the following error using that latest NoScipt update when exiting FF 3.0.11.

instruction at "0x30cb0a4f" referenced memory at "0x00000000"

The reason I feel it's related to NS is that I went the FireFox Saferoute and disable all addins.
I then started adding them in and removing them again one by one.
...culprit was NS and I can't even get it to stop doing it by setting NS to it's default values and ignoring any changes I had made.

OpSys is WINXP Pro with SP2
Firefox as listed above is 3.0.11

The other addins are not the issue as explained in the above commentry.

Any ideas? It's not a show stopper but it's irritating, especially if I had the speaker volume cranked up and the error blasts me off my chair... <g>

On the contrary, one of them is likely the issue but its bug is triggered by NoScript's presence: in facts, nobody else reported a problem similar to yours so far, and 1.9.3.3 has been out for about one month.
Please try Standard Diagnostic keeping NoScript enabled while you do it.
Also, does it happen on some specific site?

I can't say with certainty as memory errors are inherently non-descriptive and vague but I got this error before when IE Tab had a problem processing IE7 engine and it still does to the best of my knowledge, more so with IE8. So if you have it installed and recently updated to IE7 or IE8, the easiest way to test it would be disable IETab and restart and see if it happens or not, it might save you some time. Good luck.
