Is there a particular reason that you use Norton, which has widely been regarded as problematic for some years, when there are several better ones out there that are free? Just asking...

Re: Bugs: prefs.js corruption - Norton A/V related EC Messages
I don't use Norton
I don't use any A/V
I don't like green eggs & ham
Sam I am.
Yes, the first is fixed in current releases (including SeaMonkey 1.1.17, but not in FF2).
The second could be an ongoing problem depending upon when Symantec updates their end.
So both are situations where users may still run into problems & it could help if they are aware.
(PS: From what I've read the current Norton A/V seems much improved over past versions. And yes, if I were to use one it would likely be the Free version of Avira AntiVir.)

You do not like the way it blocks?
You do not like when OS locks?
Your CPU, it overclocks?
"I do not like it in my cube
"I tell you, I am not a n00b
"My back door, hakker cannot lube
"I don't use AV", says therube
(waits for applause to die down)
This business of us *agreeing* on things has got to stop! And yes, if I were to use one it would likely be the Free version of Avira AntiVir.)
