On some sites (eg allthingsD.com) Firefox stops responding. After more than a minute it comes back and says that the above script is not responding and mentions the number 284 at the end of the message. If I say chose to stop the script, Firefox the is back to normal except if there is an automatic reload of the page. Not sure whether this is a problem with noscript. (So pls excuse this posting.) When I disable noscript the same behaviour except now in jquery. Any suggestions?
On the Newsweek site the "hanging" is for a much shorter time and no message.

Then it's not NoScript.dilpane wrote:When I disable noscript the same behaviour except now in jquery.
Does it happen also in a clean profile, and/or in a clean profile with just NoScript installed?

I guess you maybe right. Now I see a pattern this happens on 2 conditions:
- the site has some flash related
logged on as a domain user rather than a local administrator
