NoScript disappears in SeaMonkey 1.1.17.
NoScript disappears in SeaMonkey 1.1.17.
Hi - Just updated from SeaMonkey 1.1.16 to 1.1.17. As usual I was informed that I would need to reinstall NoScript, so I went to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/addon/722 and it appeared to install normally, with a prompt saying it should be there after restarting the browser. But upon restarting the browser, there is no longer any NoScript icon on the lower right sdie of the interface, and scripts on pages that used to be blocked are no longer blocked. This has made my use of SeaMonkey extremely risky in my work environment. Help?

Re: NoScript disappears in SeaMonkey 1.1.17.
Reverting to NoScript version 1.9.2.8 worked. It appears that 1.9.3.3 does not install in SeaMonkey 1.1.17 (at least it didn't in my Windows XP setup) and in fact deletes NoScript from the browser interface. 1.9.2.8 still works fine, as far as I can tell.

I had the same problem. Unfortunately I was not able to revert to a previous version, as I normally install from the link on the NoScript page rather than downloading the xpi file then installing. I gained the security of the new SeaMonkey version only to lose the security of NoScript.

I'm annoyed by the same issue
i'll try next to install 1.9.2.x
BTW, i've installed the development build (as suggested here on the forum before posting a bug issue) and it fucked my SeaMonkey install!, because the installation was made to the browser folder rather than to my profile!, i had to manually edit the chrome.rdf file which was even more annoying

Re: NoScript disappears in SeaMonkey 1.1.17.
I made the big mistake of also trying the developmental version. It seemed to be blocking scripts, but instead of the normal NoScript icon in the right lower border of my SeaMonkey 1.1.17 window I have a nearly inch-wide, tan band extending below the normal window border. Re-installing SeaMonkey did not eliminate that band even though it did eliminate NoScript.

Please try installing latest development build 1.9.4.6: I restored the automatic profile cleaner that was accidentally removed in a previous development build.
It should make a global "clean" install, evan on a foobared profile, by removing the remnant of older installs without any manual editing of chrome.rdf, and it adds an Uninstall button in NoScript Options as a bonus.

Thanks, Giorgio. That worked. I now have a functioning NoScript and no extra band at the bottom of the SeaMonkey window.

Thanks, it works now.
So... it must be now always on the browser's fodler?, ok. I liked the way NoScript's install auto-fixed itself on the first run
