It seems Giorgio blocked my provider (195.238.x.x) . I get everywhere a timeout, with and without my provider's proxy. Now I'm finally here over a free proxy.

Hm, I get a DNS error if I try easyspeedy.com with TraceRoute. If I try noscript.net it finds the IP, but my TraceRoute didn't ever work. Seems my firewall blocks it even if I allow ICMP.
I'll send a mail to my provider as well and tell him about that DNS issue.

Whoa, there's an internal issue. Why is your firewall blocking any tracert.exe command, if you tell it to allow?
For the record, I use ZoneAlarm Free, with such commands set to "ask". I open command prompt, tracert.exe forums.informaction.com, get a firewall prompt,
"TCP/IP Command is trying to access the internet"(allow, deny?) > allow > works perfectly.

Check for firewall config issues if you feel that the firewall is blocking even the tracert.exe command. Perhaps you set this to "permanent deny"? ... then check for other firewall config issues.

In the future can you do us all a favor and ask a question about your problem before you make a judgment statement without facts? The internet is a big place and to assume that Giorgio would block your provider who provides service to surely more than JUST you, is not only silly but unreasonable. A why can't I access your site, hence the followup attempts to resolve your issue, would have probably been the polite way to go.

Good luck with your problem and if you could let us know what your ISP finds out, that would be great. I am sure Giorgio will post what his ISP tells him, although doubtful they are doing anything like blocking an entire service provider unless your provider has a wide range of IPs committing malicious acts (Spamming, DOS, so on) which would blacklist their node on any host worth their soul.

Your firewall shouldn't block anything as long as the tracert program is allowed access. But just go to your browser and go to this site: http://visualroute.visualware.com/ AND then put the easyspeedy.com or informaction.com in the trace address. You will see there is a path issue to the server which means their nodes are either overloaded or certain hops are failing without redirection to another node. Here is my results and I can access everything fine.

You don't know that I was banned some weeks ago because there were spam attacks coming from my ISPs addresses.
Giorgio was already very helpful, thanks again.
I don't need any trace application, mine works. The problem getting an asteriks as traceroute answer always existed and I tried every firewall setting, believe me.

This would have been useful information in the original post.

If Giorgio handled it privately, we wouldn't know about it. And with over 5,000 posts and growing rapidly, it's becoming increasingly difficult to memorize them all.

I'm sorry, but now I'm really confused.

1) Does your tracert.exe command work in general (e. g., at http://www.google.com, which I just traced in 12 hops)?
2) If so, is tracert failing at forums.informaction.com, which I just traced in 15 hops, including one timeout, despite the fact that Google and I are both in the US and Informaction is in Italy?
3) If so, do you get a firewall alert message? What is it? Or in the firewall program control, is tracert.exe set to allow, or at least, to prompt? Uh, what brand and version of firewall might help also.

I too get timeouts in tracing easyspeedy or forums.informaction.com. The bottlenecks seem to be at easyspeedy in Denmark. But I can ping this forum easily. Can you? ... btw, I tried both from my own command prompt and from http://network-tools.com/, which might be a good thing to try.

Finally, if you were banned for spams from your IP, ("your ISP's addresses" -- *all* of them? Yours must have been one) is it possible that your *own* ISP is blocking some of your service as well? (especially overseas, since much spam comes from outside the recipient country).

Most importantly: If spams are coming from your machine, and you didn't send them, you have a virus or Trojan horse, probably part of a botnet, and that is *way* more than a NoScript issue. Who else has access to your machine or IP address (legally)? If no one, it might be time for a thorough check for infection. GL and let us know. Thanks.

thanks for trying to help, but it's a matter of the ISPs of Giorgio and me. We both contacted our support by mail.

Let me just clarify:
My machine didn't send spam and I get on every dial-in another IP. And there is just one proxy IP.
Traceroute didn't work at all since years, tracert just resolves the IP or it does not as for easyspeedy.
I would like to handle the matter by mail (as I would have liked from beginning), when it may work again after the weekend. I think there are enough misunderstandings.
And no, I don't think I should have told you, the moderators, more details

We do not block any entire address ranges, but we haven't however heard about other ISPs who should block our network.

An oddity I found when checking up on this, is that we actually can't connect to the dig.de website from our office location, which is not on the same network as our data center, so it could seem like our network is not the only one being blocked by dig.de
