Using "Keep My Opt-Outs" Extensions with NoScript

Post by ddd3 »

Hello guys,

only today I discovered that since many years there are official browser extensions around to opt-out from tracking cookies. E.g. this one is from Google and covers several ad-networks and Yahoo and Microsoft as well: https://code.google.com/p/chrome-opt-out-extension/

I was asking myself now, if such browser extensions are compatible with NoScript running at the same time (I encountered at least no error messages). Or are cookies exclusively produced by JavaScript, and thus Opt-Out-Extensions senseless in the presence of NoScript?

Thanks for your help and opinions :)

Unless KMOO is badly coded (eg hogging the user interface), then it should be fine. NoScript mostly doesn't care about cookies.

No, cookies can be (and usually are) set using HTTP headers.
