Options button stops working if clicked while page is loadin

Post by jack013 »

Hi,

if I click the Options button on the bottom right corner while a page is still loading, then it won't work any longer (neither for that same page, nor on any other open tab), as clicking the button would display an empty dialog with just up and down arrows icons but no entries between them.

I'm using latests NoScript version with FF 23.0 on Kubuntu 13.04, but I've been experiencing this issue for quite a long time (months if not a year or so).
Any support highly appreciated.

It sounds like your profile is corrupted in some way. Can you try making a new one and seeing if the problem persists?

Ok, but now I have a blank profile with no add-ons but NS, all my bookmarks lost, etc.
If I try to restore all other add-ons, then the issue will be back... how could that help?

Try installing your other addons one at a time, and see if one of them brings the problem back. If so, please let us know about the conflict.

Otherwise, your old profile has issues and needs to be replaced.

You should be able to export your bookmarks and import them into the new profile (they're very unlikely to be the cause of the problem). You can also export your NoScript configuration from the old profile and import it into the new.

It's a pain, yes, but not much can be done. Firefox profile corruption happens.
