Forbid http

I noticed in the latest version of NoScript that a "Forbid http" entry appears on the list of items to allow/forbid. I don't recall seeing this before. Is this ok?

Somehow you've whitelisted the entire Internet. Go to NS menu -> Options -> Whitelist and remove the offending entry (should be near the bottom somewhere). If you don't see http: or something similar in your whitelist and this is still happening then export your NS settings with the button on the very bottom of Options panel, create a new profile, only install NoScript, and then import your NS settings there (NS menu -> Options -> Import (at the very bottom)), see if this still happens.

I had deleted an "http:" from the whitelisted items in sequence but did not realize there might be an additional one at the end. I also deleted "afx.ms", "gfx.ms", "sfx.ms", and "hotmail.com". I understand they are all related to Microsoft e-mail which I do not use. There are three additional items at the end ("blob:", "chrome:", and "resource:") which I cannot remove. I do not know what they are. Are these automatically entered by NoScript?

Yes, they're pseudo-schemes used internally by Firefox, which cannot be forbidden (doing so would prevent the browser from working at all).

Probably this happened by starting to type a URL into the whitelist and then stopping.

Giorgio, should NoScript prevent this? I really can't see any sensible reason to whitelist http://
