noscript fails on exploit website

Post by FAILscript »

hi, not sure if noscript is relevent to this but i have it installed and uptodate, visited a website called exploit-db.com (lists various exploits in the wild) and i was almost instantly hacked, various icons suddenly appeard on desktop, couldnt access most admin commands (cmd.exe,taskmgr...etc), i like to check there to see if theres vulnerabilites that may affect me in any way but was surprised at how quick it disrupted my system. just thought you might like to be made aware of it

Did you Allow exploit-db.com?
Do you "trust" exploit-db.com?

They have a banner ad.
Did you have Flash Allowed?

From what I can see, & not that I should know, nothing looks odd in their page source.

something is wrong on your end. I checked it out and as a hacker of 20+ years, I can vouch for the fact that nothing happened to my setup and all I had was a fresh Fx profile and NS. So something in your configuration is wrong or you already had an infection on your machine that served as a way in beyond scripting.

share more about your setup, configuration and what you did and we can try and see what happened.

Since the site in question site merely lists exploits - it doesn't try to perform them - either you have something else going on, or else you're simply trying to increase traffic to the exploit-db website.

Please reply with more details, so that we know this is a legitimate support request.
